Old Truck backfires, graunches gears, won't start and often has to be towed. Retired, rejected and shut up in a shed, he feels old and useless. But to the children he is a much loved family member. Is this the end for Old Truck? In this award-winning picture book for 4-8 year olds, sisters Margery and Jennifer share the heart-warming story of how their old farm truck was rescued to become 'the only restored truck of his kind in the whole world.' A special story with educational graphics and old photos showing the real Old Truck's beginnings in Alma, Michigan, his long journey to New Zealand, and his rescue and restoration on Silodale Farm.
