Here Today, Gone Tomorrow - Wellington Street Art
Author(s): Jaimie D. Baird
Four Decades, 1200+ Images.
Art or vandalism, protest or social commentary - how you see street art depends on where you stand. Jamie Baird’s Here Today Gone Tomorrow documents his 40-year fascination with these ephemera as “a testament to human imagination, innovation and cultural diversity.”
Whatever you make of it, this book’s riot of colour and off-beat street images cements Wellington’s reputation as “one of the coolest little capitals in the world” (Lonely Planet)

More About The Product
Jaimie Baird was born in England in 1952 and brought up in New Zealand from nine years of age. He attended Nelson College as a boarder, completed a Diploma in Horticulture at Massey University, then joined the Department of Agriculture in 1972.
In his early 30’s Jaimie watched a documentary called Style Wars and bought a book called Subway Art. The journey of investigating graffiti and subsequently street art had begun. Despite a fascination with art and graphic design, Jaimie acknowledges he lacked the talent and has never been a street artist. He see himself more as a street photographer and recorder of art history. Witnessing the creativity has been Jaimie’s privilege.
